How to Update an Existing Deal Record?

If any changes occur after creating a deal, it's essential to update the deal to ensure the information remains accurate. This keeps you informed of the latest details and the current status of your deal.

Follow these steps to update a deal:

You can update or edit a deal from the pipeline view, list view, kebab menu, summary section on the deal detail page, or forecast view, depending on your preference and context.

  • Pipeline View: Locate the deal in your pipeline, click edit icon to make the necessary updates, and click Update to save the changes.

  • List View: Identify the deal you want to update from the list. Click on the ellipsis icon next to the deal, choose Edit, apply the necessary changes, and then click Update.

  • Ellipsis Menu: Find and click the deal you want to update to access its detailed view. From the top-right corner click on ellipsis icon, select Edit, make necessary changes, and Save.

  • Deal Detailed View: In the deal profile, find the edit icon next to the deal name. The deal name is automatically generated based on the deal's first name, but you can edit the deal name afterward if needed. Click the edit icon, make the necessary updates, and then click Save to update your changes.

  • Forecast View: To edit a deal from the forecast view, locate the deal you want to update, then click on the edit icon next to the deal. Make your changes and save them as needed.

How to Merge Duplicate Deals?

Merging deals involves combining two deals into one, consolidating their information to avoid duplicates and streamlining management. This process ensures that the deals of all the secondary records are merged with the primary records for easier tracking and follow-up.

Follow the below steps to merge deals:

  1. Select the deal you want to merge.

  2. Click the ellipsis icon in the top right corner and tap the Merge option.

  1. Search for and select the secondary deal you want to merge with.

  2. Select the deal you want to make as the primary

  1. Preview the merged deal to ensure all information is correct.

  2. Click Merge to combine the deals.

How to Clone a Deal?

Cloning a deal allows you to create an exact copy of an existing deal, including all its details and fields. This feature is especially useful when replicating deals with similar attributes or managing multiple deals with similar parameters.

Follow the below steps to Clone a Deal:

  1. Locate the deal you want to clone.

  2. Click on the deal to open its details.

  3. In the top right corner, click the ellipsis icon (options menu).

  4. Select the Clone option from the dropdown.

  1. Adjust any information in the cloned deal as needed.

  2. Click Save to create a new cloned deal.
